Moody's Analytics Portfolio Advisory Services team provides consulting services to institutions that would like to take full advantage of the latest portfolio management and valuation techniques from Moody's KMV. These techniques allow institutions to assess the risk and return characteristics of portfolios of corporate bonds, commercial and industrial loans, and credit derivatives using credit risk economic capital framework. The team contains professionals who offer tailored consulting to meet the complete range of analysis, implementation and training needs.
Moody?s accesses a wealth of credit research data and information to solve complex credit risk problems for clients and help them reach their goals of effective credit risk management. Clients include major global financial institutions in North America, Europe and Asia.


Responsibilities

The Role:
We actively seek an exceptional and experienced individual to join our execution team within our Portfolio Advisory Services organization. Our team leverages the extensive product and research knowledge of Moody's KMV to help clients gain the full benefit of our offerings. Our services include coordination of Professional Services, client, and vendor teams and consultants; support for Moody's KMV-based solution implementation and deployment; data evaluation, analytics training, portfolio analysis.

As an Associate you will be part of the execution team. The role is client facing and requires an individual that is happy to travel to client site, become involved in preparing presentations, analyzing data and portfolios and follow up on leads.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execution of projects
- Working on pitch presentations and travelling to client sites for on-site visits and short work stays
- Supporting the team in pipeline development, including helping our sales teams on qualifying new leads for service projects


Experience

Qualifications

- Strong academic background (Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a finance related discipline. MSc/MBA/PhD preferred)



Key Tech and Non-Tech Skills

Key Skills ? Technical:
- Well developed IT skills including advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong quantitative aptitude & demonstrated analytical ability
- The ability to successfully leverage and build upon relationships established by our management team
- Understanding of technical concepts, operating systems and database subsystems such as SAS and SQL Server.
- Some coding experience with in C++ and VBA
- Experience with MKMV products


Key Skills ? Non-technical:
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts to a senior audience.
- A strong client focused orientation with the drive and enthusiasm required to achieve results and assume customer satisfaction.
