A structuring analyst role has arisen within one of the world’s most prestigious commodities trading companies. A new team is being created for the structuring operations under the title of structuring analytics and team members must have an understanding of quantitative models and experience applying them. The team will operate as a separate independent entity and as such will set its own objectives and input into deals, trading and origination from an independent standpoint. The business area is concerned with Gas Trading in Europe and the structuring analyst will support and influence the Gas and Power trading operations as part of a team.
Your business knowledge should include structured gas and power product valuation. You must be able to bring a commercial acumen in the valuation process of a deal and interpret structured transactions into their component parts as well as calibrating models and valuing deals. It’s essential that you bring both quantitative modelling experience and commercial experience of structuring and valuing deals. Your communication, presence and knowledge is essential in these areas, quantitative finance and Gas and Power as you will be influencing traders and defend the results of deals at high level meetings.
