Our client is an independent private equity, asset management and corporate advisory firm arranging transactions in the EV of $20m to $200m. They provide independent advisory, investment arrangement and asset management services and manage a variety of private equity investment funds.

Job Description

Due to continued growth our client currently has an opportunity for both a Analyst and Senior Analyst to join the Asset Management/ Private Equity team.

Analyst

Reporting into the senior analyst this position will involve the development and maintenance of financial models. Day to day you will be responsible for using these models to conduct analysis on possible investment transactions with a private equity focus. You will have a direct influence on the deal cycle, working within a team to create investment proposals. Your resourcefulness and ability to think on your feet will show though the in-depth analysis you conduct under time sensitive deadlines.

Senior Analyst

As senior analyst you will work along side the portfolio manager with involvement in the structure and risk position of the fund. Reviewing and interpreting financial models, editing and amending documents and acting as a senior member of the transactions team are just some of the daily tasks in this busy role. Applying your understanding and extensive exposure to private equity transactions within an active investment fund will allow you to work independently on transactions with little supervision.

The Successful Applicant

Degree qualified in a financial discipline, as the analyst you will have a minimum of 2 years of transactions analysis experience, preferably within a mid market focused private equity or corporate finance environment within banking and transaction services in a professional services firm. You will have high level modelling skills with the ability to build models from scratch. As senior analyst you will have had a minimum of 4 years experience in a private equity fund or investment house. A solid grasp of risk and structuring of investments and divestments will also be highly regarded.
