In our Corporate Actions department we are looking for an Expert Corporate Actions 

Purpose of the role :
• Build market knowledge and translate this into an increasing operational understanding.
• Build market intimacy to support the above ,but also proactively manage corporate actions events with high visibility in the market, ensuring additional pro-activity vis-à-vis the clients
• Build documentation to ensure proper transfer of knowledge but also to reduce dependency on people’s knowledge.
• Increase proactivity for the collection of information
• Retain experienced people within operations recognizing the expertise in order to build an increasing market knowledge (Operations considered as a ‘state of art’).
 

Accountabilities
With regard to the operational aspects (about 60-70 % of your time) , you will be accountable for:
• Operational processing
• Controls (task)
• Leading, coordination, set up and follow up of complex/risky events (with external and internal stakeholders)
• Management and coordination of complex reconciliations

With regard to the non-operational aspects, you will have the following accountabilities :

Market Knowledge
• Build up of a common library (per market) to record the knowledge.
• Analysis and documentation of specific processes related to his/her own markets
• Organize walk through sessions to ensure transfer of knowledge
• Review and/or updated of specific procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure correct linkages with the market knowledge.

Market Intimacy
• Develop for visible events walkthrough sessions, action plans and Q&A with main stakeholders (eg. Client Service, Account Managers)
• Daily searches of information on specific web sites, newspapers, magazines, data vendors
• Depositary Reviews, Control on Qualities, analysis and presentation.
• Analysis and post mortem of incidents related to his/her own markets
• Ensure proper and proactive support from our depositaries.
• Build relationship with CSD’s, external parties and clients who can help us to build additional relation with key market players.
• Support portfolio Migrations.
 

You have:

• Several years of experience in the UK and/or Euronext market area of corporate actions / equities
• Knowledge via your operational experience, and are capable to enlarge this knowledge further by using critical and analytical approach.
• Develop, acquire and transfer (internally and externally) the market knowledge related to your specific market.
• Interact with Commercial, Product, Network management, our Agents and Clients to build a complete expertise.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Stress-resistant and able to produce accurate work
• A client-focused attitude
• An analytical mind, with the ability to solve problems
• A good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access
• You have proven to be a teamplayer, who is flexible and risk-aware
