Our client is a well-known investment bank with strong establishments around the globe. A leader in its lines of business, it has business in the origination, sales, trading and research of equity and fixed income securities. They are now seeking a committed candidate interested in pursuing a long term career with their IBD ops team.

Based in Hong Kong, IBD Operations provides support to AEJ ECM and IBD in structuring logistics, managing and executing all external and internal operation aspects leading to successful closing of ECM transactions. Main tasks for the role include: identifying risks, issues and logistics, execution and documentation, taking into account of market rules and regulations, regional depositary and monetary systems in relation to all external and internal aspects of securities and funds flow. This involves working closely with ECM, IBD and Federation Groups; and also direct interface with issuer, legal counsels, receiving banks, share registrar, and depositary. You are also expect to work closely with Operations and other Federation Groups, and assist in managing Hong Kong Public Offers.  

To qualify, you will be a degree holder with 2-3 years working experience from Middle Office/ Operations from Financial Institutions. Auditors from Big 4 are welcome. You should possess strong sense of lateral thinking with solid analytical and judgment skills, detail oriented, and risks and controls oriented. You will be able to work under pressure and extended hours, and interact professionally with senior executives, including external clients and professional counterparts. Native English language ability required, and ability to read and write Chinese is a must. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
