BGI is seeking a Principal who will play a key role in formulating firm and business level strategies on behalf of executive and business unit management.

This will primarily require leading projects to generate strategic and financial analyses to support the development of BGI’s medium-term strategic and financial plans; executing strategy projects across the firm; planning and managing programs of transformational change; and evaluating the strategic and financial rationale of potential acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Structure and lead firm- and business unit-level strategy and corporate development projects to drive BGI’s growth opportunities.

• Lead teams in a scientific-based approach to problem solving, with emphasis on analytical rigor, problem solving insight, and management of structured processes that includes key stakeholders and seeks input from subject matter experts.

• Formulate and present recommendations to executive management to help facilitate decision-making.

• Coordinate efforts among global BGI teams to ensure efficient execution of projects.

• Complete analyses and presentations as needed for the CEO and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post MBA business experience, including strong strategy experience with a leading management consulting firm.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with ability for insight in a complex and competitive industry.

• Strong business judgment, with ability to synthesize analyses and extract implications in real-time;

• Asset management, capital markets, and financial services industry experience strongly preferred.

• Highly motivated, team player, willing to take initiative in an entrepreneurial culture.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization - with team members, managers, and senior executives.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to create highly effective presentations.

• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, or engineering, and an MBA.
