Global Hedge Fund in New York is seeking a Junior Software Developer possessing 2-6 years of software development experience to join a team supporting a fast-paced high-pressure trading environment. In addition to strong programming skills, candidate must demonstrate a high degree of motivation. Exposure to fixed income markets is a plus but not required. Responsibilities include developing applications to be used in all business areas; trading, risk management, operations, etc.  Other areas of focus will include development of libraries and infrastructure for working with C++ models, database programming and management, Excel/VBA interface development, Perl utilities, messaging layers, real time data feed client/server applications, and automated trading interfaces.  This position will provide exposure to many different aspects of the fixed income markets and the hedge fund business model.  Ideal candidate will be eager to learn more about applying technology solutions to financial markets problems. Please speak with Barry for more information regarding this position.
