An exciting opportunity has become available for a Business Performance Analyst within the Business Performance team in Finance.

The Business Performance team is embarking on an exciting journey to deliver a step change in the quality and depth of performance analysis and to develop its role as a business partner, adding real value to the business.

The Business Performance team is responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the business. This encompasses the annual business planning process, including the effective communication of our strategic objectives throughout the business; the preparation of quarterly financial forecasts; monthly reporting of key drivers of the business and progress against these targets; and ongoing business partnering to provide high quality performance analysis to a wide range of business managers, including our Executive Directors.
 

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

• To assist with the production and analysis of monthly management reporting, including but not limited to;

  • Finance Board Pack
  • Group Reporting
  • Cost Centre Reporting
  • Headcount Reporting

• Liaising with other team members and key business contacts to produce insightful analysis and reporting, on both a routine and ad-hoc basis

• Providing support to the team on the development and updating of our financial planning systems

• Assist the Business Performance Consultants in producing appropriately challenged business plans and forecasts on a quarterly basis

• Supporting the Business Performance Consultants on ad-hoc/project work

Qualifications/Experience

• Part/Newly Qualified Accountant

• Financial services experience is preferable, however candidates with experience within large multiple cost centre organisations may be considered

• Relevant experience within a Finance Decision Support environment

Note: Ideally candidates will have experience interacting with business managers including discussing costs/revenues/budgets/forecasts. Candidates from a statutory accounting or fund accounts background MUST also have some relevant business/commercial experience.

This role would be ideally suited to someone who is committed to developing their career within a challenging Finance environment. There are significant opportunities to develop your knowledge of the Business Performance function and to develop a good understanding of the investment business.
