Major Financial Firm seeks candidate possessing five plus years of experience programming applications in the UNIX/RDBMS environment. Experience in the financial industry, especially in Fixed Income, Investment Management or Trading will be ideal. This individual must have strong working knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripts, SQL Scripts, C/C++. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor in Computer Science or related field from a top university with exceptionally high grades. This individual must be very motivated, be a hard worker, and a self-managed individual. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced trading floor environment. Perfect communication skills required. This position entails travel within Europe. Plusses for this position will include; VB or .NET experience under NT, Programming experience with CORBA, and Multi-threading under UNIX/C++.
