Their Financial Restructuring Group members have participated in some of the largest and most prominent financial restructurings in corporate history worldwide, working with a wide range of industries and client companies to acquire a unique understanding of restructuring processes, bankruptcy laws and regulatory frameworks. In 2005 alone, the Financial Restructuring Group worked on over 100 restructuring-related transactions. The group has advised the official creditors’ committees in the four largest, and most complex, bankruptcies of all time: WorldCom, Enron, Conseco and Parmalat. Each of these situations involved a combination of complex multinational restructuring situations, financial fraud, debt-equity swaps and management of diverse creditor constituencies.
With the impact of the "credit crunch" starting to show through, this group is looking to strengthen their franchise in Europe by hiring commercially astute Investment Bankers to be based out of London.
