ROLE
The Asset Servicing & Custody International RFP Team based in London requires the position of a RFP Writer. This post is to support a substantial increase in the volume of work generated by the existing International/GFS sales pipeline and current client requirements.
The post is required to support existing volumes; to give us the optimal chance of converting current prospects in to clients; and aid client retention efforts.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal Preparation
Researches and prepares first draft of RFP responses Ensures RFP documents are taken to near completion for International/Global Fund Services sales managers Maintains industry consultant RFP databases (e.g. Mercers, Watson Wyatt, etc)
RFP database
Responsible for the ongoing update and maintenance of the RFP database Pro-active liaison with Operations/Product/ Northern Trust Asset Management and other business areas to maintain factual content of the RFP database Identify and research opportunities to create additional RFP database files to reflect new product and service offerings Ensure that all relevant statistics (e.g., financials, client numbers) are updated accordingly as part of the update and maintenance of the RFP database
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrates a working knowledge of the broad asset servicing/global custody needs of institutional investors worldwide.
Develops a strong working knowledge of Northern Trust’s capabilities in asset servicing/global custody.
Possesses a broad understanding of the capabilities of the key competitors within asset servicing/global custody.
Is able to work in a fast moving environment. This position will require multi-tasking and the ability to balance and prioritize conflicting RFP demands.
Experience and Qualification
Experience within the financial industry essential, specifically within an asset servicing/global custodian firm, or leading asset management firm.
Previous RFP experience essential within an asset servicing/global custody environment, or within an asset management role.
