An ALM Manager is needed to help design, model, present, arrange, implement and monitor derivatives-based investment strategy solutions for this leading multi-national

My client is a large global firm with a solid reputation in the market. The main purpose of the role would be to recommend the appropriate investment strategy to the Investment Committee and Board Members. It will be liaising with the Investment Managers and the Treasury to execute those recommendations. Clearly, it is a very high profile role and you will be meeting with other global areas (New York, Brussels, etc) of the business quarterly to decide and consolidate on the strategy. The skills they are looking for are: ALM specialism; strong insurance/pensions knowledge; knowledge of With-profits funds, EEV etc; ability to contribute towards the management of a £70 billion assets under management; strong asset knowledge - especially of alternative asset classes; accounting knowledge - IFRS basis; capital: (ICA, economic capital, risk based capital); tax; strong communication skills: oral and written; strong research ability. If you have a background in at least some of these areas, you will be of interest and training provided to bring you up to speed on deficit areas.
