This Australian based bank is well placed after recent market turmoil and is looking to capitalise on the current environment. With a significant Global Markets Research team, they are looking to add a senior strategist.

Reporting to the Chief Economist for the bank, you will report on: grain, sugar, cotton, wool and cattle. The ability to express your findings of trends is essential as you will regularly be involved in presentations and road shows to significant clients. You will be given free reign to express your ideas. The bank produces weekly reports and additional reports on ad hoc issues in which you will report. An Economics degree and market exposure in some of the above soft commodities are essential. The ability and creativity to find and report on trends by oneself as you will be given free reign to report on issues as you see fit. A competitive package will be paid for the right individual with a significant bonus component. Depending on the seniority of the individual, the role may entail management responsibility.
