London based, European Special Situations Fund that invests in all parts of the capital structure from equity to senior debt. In addition to public market opportunities they will also look at restructuring situations in the private sector as well.
This Fund invests in European special situations, focusing on restructuring-and event-driven opportunities including:

• Distressed debt investments • “New Money” for expansion or stabilisation of businesses • Private Equity investments, asset purchases, insolvency sales or corporate spin-offs • Structured equity positions • Event-driven liquid equity/debt positions

Job description:

The team is looking for a research analyst to work closely with the PM and other analysts. The research analyst will be responsible for valuation models of potential and existing sectors and companies; analysis of European companies and industries, stock screening, meeting with company management, and preparing investment briefs.

Requirements:

- 2-6 years prior experience in consulting, private equity, investment banking, distressed investing, or research - Strong valuation and modelling skills - Ability to analyse investment opportunities - Ability and desire to be resourceful in finding information
