Our client has a vacancy for an Equity Analyst with existing equity market experience. Covering 40-45 equities across several sectors. Sectors are subject to negotiation. The candidate is likely to have started the CFA program.

The respective individual will be expected to carry out buy-side research, maintaining a high level of coverage on approximately 45 companies and seeking out new ideas across several sectors. Sectors are subject to negotiation.

You will be expected to develop a good understanding of the sectors, their constituents and share price drivers. Generate effective, timely investment recommendations. Inform fund managers of significant developments and events. Be an integral part of the firm’s investment process, update electronic systems and carry out team and branch visits.

Qualifications and Experience:

You will have worked in equity markets and are likely to be qualified or part qualified, CFA (or IIMR). You will be confident speaking at meetings, comfortable being the focus of attention and robust enough to deal with stocks that go wrong. There is a focus on UK, US and European large cap equities. A business/economics related degree is preferred and good Excel skills and knowledge of Datastream and Reuters would be useful.
